Stage 1 of 4

Start

Turning an idea into an organisation

This is where an idea becomes something real. Most people arrive with a clear sense of who they want to help and a hundred questions about how to actually set it up. We help you get the foundations right from day one, so you are not unpicking things later.

What this stage is about

Setting up properly is the bit that saves you the most pain down the line. The right structure, a clear purpose and a few solid documents make everything that follows easier, from opening a bank account to winning your first grant.

You do not need to become an expert in any of this. You just need someone who has done it before to help you make good decisions quickly and get the paperwork right first time.

Signs you are at this stage

  • You have an idea but are not sure where to start
  • You are weighing up whether a CIC, charity or something else fits
  • You want to set up properly without drowning in jargon
  • You started the paperwork and stalled

How we help

  • Choosing the right structure (CIC, charity, social enterprise)
  • CIC formation and registration
  • Writing a clear community purpose and CIC36
  • Governing documents, policies and early governance
  • A simple plan for your first 6 to 12 months

What you walk away with

  • A properly registered organisation
  • The core policies and documents you need
  • Clarity on what to do next, and in what order

Sound like where you are?
